The herd, numbering about two thousand, rushes down the steep bank toward the sea, meeting their demise in the waters. Astonished, the swineherds rush to spread the news in the city and surrounding areas. The populace, intrigued and fearful, comes to verify the events. Upon arrival, they encounter the formerly possessed man, now seated, clothed, and in his right mind, causing them great astonishment. Witnesses recount the events involving the liberated man and the swine, leaving the people impressed and apprehensive, urging Jesus to depart from their lands. As he departs, the freed man expresses a desire to accompany Jesus. However, Jesus instructs him to return to his family and proclaim the mercy and great deeds of the Lord.
